1. About Voice It

Voice It is a tool designed to help debate and forensics students record, organize, and manage evidence for competitive speech and debate. By using Voice It, you agree to these terms.

2. Acceptable Use

Voice It is intended for:

  • Recording and organizing debate evidence
  • Managing speech and forensics materials
  • Educational and competitive debate purposes
  • Personal academic use

You may NOT use Voice It for:

  • Recording conversations without consent where legally required
  • Illegal activities or purposes
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing others
  • Violating copyright or intellectual property rights
  • Sharing or distributing malicious content
  • Attempting to hack, disrupt, or damage the service

3. Your Responsibilities

When using Voice It, you agree to:

  • Follow recording laws: You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding audio recording in your jurisdiction
  • Respect others: Obtain consent when required before recording conversations
  • Secure your account: Keep your password safe and don't share your account
  • Back up important data: We do our best to keep your data safe, but you should maintain your own backups of critical evidence
  • Use responsibly: Don't abuse the service or use it in ways that could harm others

4. Service Availability

We strive to keep Voice It running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" and may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control.

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Suspend accounts that violate these terms
  • Update these terms (we'll notify you of significant changes)

5. Your Content

You own the recordings and content you create with Voice It. We don't claim any ownership of your evidence or materials. However, by using the service, you grant us permission to store and process your content to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and store any content you upload to Voice It.

6. Limitations of Liability

Voice It is provided as a tool to help you organize debate evidence. We are not responsible for:

  • The accuracy or quality of your recordings
  • Lost or corrupted data (though we work hard to prevent this)
  • Decisions made based on evidence stored in the app
  • Any damages resulting from your use of the service
  • Third-party content or services linked from the app

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded Voice It from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which you can find at: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

In case of any conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA takes precedence for app-specific matters.

9. Account Termination

You can stop using Voice It and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

Upon termination, your access to the service will end, and we may delete your data after a reasonable period (typically 30 days).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the app. Continued use of Voice It after changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. Legal Stuff

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your State/Jurisdiction].
